About the Online Training Session
Our Online Training Session will provide you with the following:
- The Access Momentum Online Training session ensures all your employees, volunteers and others who deal with the public or other third parties on their behalf, and all those who are involved in the development and approvals of customer service policies, practices and procedures are fully compliant with the training requirements of the Accessibility Standards for Customer Service, Ontario Regulation 429/07
- The Online Training Session is 45 minutes in length and includes reading modules, videos and a short quiz at the end of each module to ensure the learner is engaged
- There are four (4) modules in the Online Training Session:
- MODULE 1 - Understanding Accessibility and the Law: This module will assist you to understand accessibility, the AODA and the first of 5 standards; the Accessibility Standards for Customer Service.
- MODULE 2 – Disability: In this module you will learn different ways to communicate and interact with people who have a disability
- MODULE 3 – Accommodations and Feedback: In this module, you will learn more about accommodations such as service animals, assistive devices and support persons as well as providing notification of temporary disruption and allowing people who access your goods and / or services to provide feedback
- MODULE 4 - Providing Accessible Customer Service: This module will give you some tools and techniques to assist with accessible communication and offering accessible service to all people
- Enables someone from your organization to be an administrator and:
- Purchase individual online training sessions, or
- Purchase online training sessions for multiple learners
- Register individual online training sessions from your bundled purchase, as needed (E.G. for future new employees and/or volunteers)
- Monitor the progression of those registered in an online training session
- Provides learner with an Accessible Customer Service Training Booklet for future reference
- Provides certificate upon completion of the online training session
*To ensure the learner registered in the online training session receives the full benefit of the session experience, Access Momentum Training recommends providing all learners with a copy of your organization’s accessibility policy and procedures as per the Accessibility Standards for Customer Service, Ontario Regulation 429/07 for use during the online training session.
