The Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA) requires that all people who have a disability receive the same level of service as everyone else.
Businesses and not-for-profit organizations that:
- provide goods or services either directly to the public or to other businesses or organizations
- have one or more employees in Ontario
... are required to train all employees, volunteers and others who deal with the public or other third parties on their behalf, and all those who are involved in the development and approvals of customer service policies, practices and procedures by January 1st, 2012, under the Accessibility Standards for Customer Service;

... are required to train all employees and volunteers, all persons who participate in developing the organization’s policies and all other persons who provide goods, services or facilities on behalf of the organization between 2013 to 2016, depending on the sector and size of the organization, under the Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation.
